They are made instead of regular books with print on paper; e-books are made with glowing pixels on the screen that turn into text. Scholarly definitions describe it as and normal paper books equivalent to in a digital version.[1] E-books can be made by re-using books that have already been created over hundreds of years and be translated it to the ebook version or be made primary on the ebook itself and vice versa. E-books replicate many features of a regular book like text, pages, and a table of contents they must be used on a digital form to be considered e-books.[2] E-books are also great options for people with disabilities as there are many options to fit anyones specific needs. For example you can enlarge the text as much as you need which is not readily available on books that are on paper.
